Joe Bauwens and Marybeth Flower are a married couple who collaborated as photographers and authors on the award winning book, Piazza; Italy’s Heart & Soul.
Piazza was awarded best coffee table book of the year by Independent Publishers. This international competition had entries from 17 foreign countries, 8 Canadian provinces and all 50 states.
In the last 5 years much of their work has focused on creating fine art abstract images. Their work has a painterly effect and is known for its vibrant color. Joe and Marybeth call their photographic technique “Painting with the Camera.” “The more our work resembles a painting the happier we are.”
Their work can be printed on photographic paper, canvas or watercolor paper.
